Gamified Hype Video

Sales Conference Kickoff Video

We once again partnered with Molina to create a video to kick-off their Annual Sales Conference. This time they had a theme that got the entire PTE team excited for: 80s Arcade!

Where do we even start? So many themes to choose from, but the one that stood out the most was Tron. Tron encapsulates the 80s perfectly, and also ties into the racing and competition themes of retro arcade games. It went hand-in-hand with the friendly competition of what a sales environment can be. Thus, the video captured the look and feel of an 80s arcade game!

The Challenge

The goal was to create a video that would hype up the Molina Sales team for the next season. We asked ourselves, “How can we create an exciting video using bikes?” Stock footage was out of the question. We really wanted to make something special and true to Molina’s branding standards.

So, we decided to develop a racing game, which we used to take footage of for the final video.

The Result

Our developer had to choreograph a dance between the 3 enemies and the main player. The idea was to make it seem like a physical player was controlling the bike, and not a computer. The main player started off neutral and not taking aggressive action. Then, at the end of the video, they swoop in and win the race by the skin of their teeth, while the other two players collide and crash.
